Questions and notes from this doc -- To dos:

  • EVT's final report link to be referenced.  done
  • 80% program proposal need to be re-visited, given PACE. You were to meet with Ken re this.
  • Linda: "I have the MET as Sustainable... doc, but you said we'd need additional source material. Can you get me some ideas, links?"

Odds & Ends:
  •  Your comment mentions "bug-money stuff" and I don't know what that means. Do I need to know?
    • That's "big-money stuff." What I'm thinking about here is the bigger MET potentials a few years out.  For example, the actual replication of, for example, the Energy Efficiency Deli to other towns/regions, if we've gotten it on its feet in Montpelier.  Or what we imagine/project our other work would look like if successful and replicated.  Perhaps we become consultants of sorts in this future.
  • You mention the "other half million" but I don't clearly see what the first half million is.
    • go to Funding Concepts; Corresponding Goals & Grantors -- see the "Corresponding Goals" bullet points just above that:
      • "The million dollars won't happen in 2010, but it should be the goal for 2011 and the coordinator needs to be in place soon to get it going."
      • "Half of the million is $10,000 investment in 50 homes."
Ideas for Making the Document Even Stronger but not sure you want to get into this level of detail:
  • Can we get some specific measurables from objectives 1-6 to put in the next section: MET's Ability to Produce?
    • yes, for some; I'm adding them to the doc.
  • Example questions:
    • What % of homes have had deep energy retrofits as of 2010 (start date was 2007? or what?)
    • Has the # of fossil-fuel dependent vehicles owned and driven decreased yet?
    • What % of our energy needs has switched to local, renewables?  Have any other energy companies re-located or started up in the city?
    • What programs have been co-sponsored by MET to inform people about energy implications of food purchases?
